The Student PIRGs
On any college campus, you can find students who feel driven to take on the biggest problems facing our communities and our country. The Student PIRGs organize these students to make an impact today, and give them skills and experience to keep on making an impact after they graduate. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE STUDENT PIRGS

Solving Problems Outside The Classroom
On college campuses from Boston University to Berkeley, you will find students who are looking for ways to stop global warming, or who want to get big money out of politics, or are trying to alleviate hunger and homelessness in their communities.
As a Student PIRG Campus Organizer, your job is to recruit these students to get involved — and to train them to be effective leaders who can run campaigns that make an impact in the community, in the state capitol, at the White House, or wherever it will make a difference.

Making A Difference Today. Training Leaders For Tomorrow.
Campus Organizers make a difference in two ways: First, you’ll work to win campaigns right now—whether it’s getting your campus to Go Solar, helping to register tens of thousands of young people to vote, or raising money for a local homeless shelter. Your work will make an immediate impact. Second, when you develop students into leaders who can run campaigns of their own, you’ll be giving them the tools to keep on making an impact wherever they go after they graduate.

Real Results, On Campus And In The Community
The Student PIRGs have helped to win dozens of victories that have made our country a better place. From cutting down on solid waste and improving energy efficiency, to protecting students from faulty products, or consumer rip-offs, to our work helping to pass California’s landmark global warming law, which reduced carbon emissions and set renewable energy goals for the state. Our organizers get concrete victories that make a real difference in people’s lives.
